Stooges Pub & Grub Reviews

Stopped here after the Bedford fall fest and was iffy due to the outside appearance. Two ladies running the serving in the seating area, which includes bar and outdoor seating, and they did an amazing job. They didn't let me down with the recommendation of dill cheese curds and our salads were huge and tasty.

I have a cottage about 1/2 mile from this restaurant, we go every weekend, the food is fantastic, presented beautiful and ample portions for the low prices, I love the hot roast beef, it melted in your mouth! I can't say enough gre t things about this place, the owner is a sweetheart and can't believe how hard she works!!! The staff is wonderful also. I have NEVER had anything i didn't like! Try the space cowboy flatbread, thank me later.

We finally got to try this place very happy with the beer batter fish and the big Mac wrap will definitely stop back again. Seen other items on the menu I need to try. Staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We thought the place was very clean.

Good food, great service and nice atmosphere. Bring out of state company for meals and they enjoyed the restaurant.

Had a great meal again love this place when visiting from Pittsburgh the waitress is also the best.

Good pub food on a locals place. The BlackBerry beef was awesome and my friend had a good raspberry salad with chicken. Resealable prices and cold beer. Nothing on tap for a Pub.

We stopped in while traveling the turnpike and it was worth driving past the junky fast food options at the exit. The outside wasn't much to grab your attention but once we stepped inside it felt like our regular neighborhood place. The service was warm from the start and we enjoyed our meals. We all had the special "Pickle Chicken" which had great flavor and was a lot for the price. We will stop back on our next trip for sure.

My mom and I were in town for the day, and this restaurant was given to us as a recommendation. Our server was pleasent and accommodating; the place itself was your average sports bar, no frills and sold alcoholic slushies and 6 packs of beer. We ordered the Seafood Flatbread to share and ice teas. The Seafood flatbread had on it crab meat, scallops, and shrimp with a white sauce. The food overall, and following of COVID19 safety precautions lowered my star rating. The Seafood flatbread was tasty, though for a Friday night special the shrimp were a bit overdone. During times of COVID19; sadly this restaurant lacked in enforcing mask wearing and santizing the tables. As for menus, it was odd as I received a paper menu, and my mom a regular one. Understandable every state is different in following COVID19 restaurant guidelines. It would have been nice to have seen more patrons with masks, as well as our server. My mom and I along with a couple of 4 older people wore masks. The service and food receive a recommendation, next time though I'll be more selective on a restaurant outside my hometown following COVID19 guidelines.
Stooges Pub & Grub
Craving a place that blends down-home comfort, cold drinks, and live local flavor? Stooges Pub & Grub at 5817 Business 220 Bedford, PA 15522 is the hidden gem you didn’t know you needed in your dining rotation.
Discover Why Locals Keep Coming Back to Stooges Pub & Grub in Bedford, PA
There’s something undeniably magnetic about Stooges Pub & Grub. Nestled off Business 220, this laid-back diner-bar hybrid offers more than just burgers and brews—it delivers an atmosphere. With friendly service, buzzing weekend crowds, and a menu that balances classic pub food with regional favorites, it’s no surprise the place is packed on a Friday night. Regulars rave about the handcrafted burgers, the crispy wings doused in house sauces, and don’t even get them started on wing night—it’s a ritual.
On a recent visit, I slid into a high-top near the bar and was immediately greeted like a neighbor. I ordered the “Big Moe” burger (yes, it lives up to the name) and paired it with a cold draft from their rotating taps. What stood out wasn’t just the food—it was how everyone seemed to know each other. That’s the kind of community-first vibe you don’t find just anywhere.
A Menu Built Around Crowd Favorites and Local Tastes
Whether you’re rolling in after a long ride through Bedford or looking for a casual spot to grab lunch with friends, the menu at Stooges Pub & Grub reads like a love letter to American comfort food. You’ll find all the staples: juicy burgers, stacked sandwiches, crispy chicken, and hearty bar snacks that feel like an upgrade from the usual pub fare.
What makes the menu shine is the attention to detail. The Philly cheesesteak is stuffed with fresh-sliced ribeye and grilled onions on a crusty hoagie roll. Their loaded fries, topped with bacon and melty cheddar, are practically a side dish and a meal in one. For those craving lighter fare, there’s a surprisingly fresh chicken Caesar wrap and crisp garden salads that don’t feel like afterthoughts.
The kitchen crew doesn’t cut corners. Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the flavor is consistently on point. It’s clear they know what their regulars love—and they deliver every time.
More Than a Diner: A Hangout That Brings People Together
There’s no denying that Stooges Pub & Grub plays a bigger role in the Bedford community than just serving food. On weekends, the place fills with laughter, music, and the unmistakable sound of people enjoying a good time. Locals come for the food, stay for the live music nights, sports watch parties, and laid-back environment.
The location itself adds to the charm. Situated just outside the historic core of Bedford, it draws both travelers and townies alike. You’ll often see a mix of motorcycle clubs, families, and after-work regulars sharing the space—and that’s the magic of it. It’s inclusive without trying too hard. The staff knows your name if you’ve been more than twice, and even if it’s your first visit, they’ll treat you like you’ve always belonged.
One night, while sipping a local IPA, I watched a group of folks sing along with a cover band playing ‘90s rock. Nobody checked their phones. Everyone was just there. It reminded me that these kinds of spots—local, grounded, unfussy—are what make towns like Bedford special.

Incredible food, my husband and I have been craving a good burger and have been getting Stooges for takeout pretty regularly now! The servers are so kind and friendly when I go in to pay, and the portion sizes are an awesome value! If you're craving a burger, definitely the place to stop in Bedford.
